Great to be back for the my-KART round series after missing 3 rounds but will most probably missing the next 2 or 3 rounds again due to work commitment

I am very happy that the number of participants for 2007 have increased tremendously with lots of new faces which basically mean that more new buayas are being discovered

In the 1st Quali, struggled with kart no.19 with has a quite severe oversteer especially on right turns which I believe is due to the incorrect (too high) left rear tyre pressure. Tried to keep up with Shaeran but I lost too much speed (have to lift off the throttle to control the oversteer) on right turns to put up any challenge on him. Saw M7 was struggling too which saw him slide off into the grass at turn 8 (the left turn after S turns) but he overtook me with ease on the last lap.

Result : Bad quali

In the 2nd quali, kart no.18 is definitely a very much better kart than kart no.19. Good handling but lack of top speed.

Start was OK but lost out to Ashraff & Faiz on the straights and I ended up last again. Saw Luen & M7 went off on 2nd lap turn 1 and I was thinking to myself (thank you very much ).

Was following Ashraff & Faiz closely but couldn't overtake them as they always pull away on the straights. I could always catch up to them on the corners but lose out on the straights again.
And out of nowhere, M7 overtook me like a hot knife thru butter (remember he & Luen spun out earlier leh) and went on to overtake the others.

Next up is Luen, he overtook me first & then Faiz easily . The lack of top speed of kart no.18 is exposed here.

But when I saw Ashraff spun off at turn 1, I was for the little bit of good fortune at last.

Due to poor qualifying results, ended up in the Ais Kosong cup group.

Was surprised that nobody choose kart no.88 during kart selection and I grab the kart when I was called to make my selection.

Kart no.88 really suits my driving style where I could use rear wheel steering effect nicely with the power delivery characteristic. Sad that I didn't get this kart during qualifying rounds or I could at least be fighting for points in the Coca-Cola cup group instead of hoping for somebody to DNF.

Blast off at the start to take the lead by the 1st turn and I put in as much speed as possible to pull a gap to the 2nd placing guy. Saw that it was Azmee Buaya that was a few kart length behind me and I pushed as hard as possible to pull away from him. With a comfortable gap, I was glad that he was being pestered by Desmond later and that the pressure on me is taken off a little bit and took home the consolation prize of winning the Ais Kosong cup race.

....aik.. I'm in K3-45?.. Bos, I think should slot me in K2-70 already coz my latest weight as at today=74kg.. about 8kg increased.. hmmm

i had a good time..even if i didn't do that well this time around
made a few costly mistakes in the first qualifying & had kart 19 with bad brakes in the 2nd...didn't help me to qualify in the A finals...but B finals is good enuf i guess for my rusty kart handling...
& 3 points is enuf i guess.. at least i'm in front of Azlan...hehehe

but..but...the best past of the day has to be the after race lunch...nasi ayam with double portion chicken & 2 teh 'O' ais..definitely made my day more cheerful...hahaha...
