Why change this website?
Okay folks. I know that I may be accused of concentrating my (extra) time and efforts on building and re-building the myKART website rather than adding content.
The previous version of the myKART website ( http://www.my-kart.org/html/ ) using the old PostNuke scripts ( http://www.postnuke.com/ ) was (I found) inflexible. Updating was quite a chore and not so convenient.
I needed a more... shall we say, lighter and flexible script which pretty much took the best of blogs and developed into a content management system (CMS). I found drupal ( http://www.drupal.org/ ) as one that closely matched this description.
Anyway, I am testing this right now, and find the content updates much better as I can update content in many areas (forums, blogs, reports, books etc) in a similar structure.
So please do give me some feedback on the progress you see so far.
In due course, I shall endeavour to migrate the content from the old site into this one. So I hope that you will bear with me while that happens.

So far I am happy with the Drupal CMS design. It is by no means perfect, I must say... though, for perfection I would have to learn and script in PHP & mySQL. Alas I am not expert, so I am happy with the functionalities available in Drupal compared to say the various Nuke distributions.

In actual fact, the Postnuke design was very rigid and failed to separate content from design & layouts. Content creation was not consistent particularly when you wanted to create a blog, or a story or a forum post. Even the formatting filters such as bbcode was not implemented consistently throughout.
