My-KART Teams Race -FEEDBACK
Folks,
I got some feedback from some mykarters regarding how to revive or create higher interest in Teams Race such as the one scheduled on 21st July at the Elite Track. Some suggestions were:
A) Run both 100cc and 80cc Team races
Reason : stronger response is expected from the K3 pool, newbies from outside including companies and clubs. Secondly, the price per driver is relatively lower and more affordable (estimated at RM300 / team). Consequently, the response for 100cc team race will be expected to be less than that for the 80cc team race but this is expected due to the relatively smaller pool of k2 & K1 drivers as well as the extra cost per team (estimated at RM350/ team).
Just a thought...run both 100 and 80cc teams together in one race to save time and increase fun factor. 100cc karts will lead 80cc at the start grid plus other rules will be needed if this idea is implemented.
B) Award some trophies or medals to winners (cheap ones ok, its more for the hype and pride of standing on the rostrum, photographs for media , if any.
....and over to you.

actually, the price issue is not the main concern it seems. the RM350 per team for one hour compares well with the RM300 for 80cc for one hour (and a bit) at CK...
so the issues seems to be the faster karts.... so agree on running 80cc... but Kartquest does not have 80cc karts.

»Tarmizi:
i had a secret practice last week and i saw 2 rental karts with the comer 80cc engine on a typical chassis ..which is the same as CK...so im not sure what does that means..but i doubt they have the quantity we need for our race.Anyway need to ask for details on that. other than that they have the 4 strokers....

Ibrahim mentioned about 2 stroke 80cc for rent yesterday and Tarmizi with his friends did also saw them. Let us check it out this Saturday as some mykarters will be doing chicken wing runs for track familiarisation.
Alternatively, if agreeable, run on the 4 stroker 250cc......well, not really that bad...except for the initial acceleration.....remember the Pan Global Alex Yoong series?
...will get more info....coming boss?

Miss the smell of fumes greatly!
Maybe the return of Team NOVICE (THE team to beat) will spur the interest of the endurance race again!

Well, Kartquest have 2 stroke 80cc karts but limited to 5 units at the moment. So , looked like there won't be any endurances on 80cc karts at the Elite track for a while fellas!
