There was only one RED kart and I was lucky enough to have balloted it on grid #8. Kart had ok mid-lvl and super top-end, but it's low-end was horrible. Had to do 2 warm-up laps as whoever's infront of me, Yong Chun Fung(?), kept having his kart stall..... If memory serves me well, it was 3 times, twice on the 1st warm up and once more just before the green flag on the 2nd.

I got distracted with the 3rd stalling, so I 4got to keep the rpm up at the start when the flag was waved. I pressed on the accelerator and I was just cruising, slowly pickin up speed. Thank God, nobody passed me(or at least wat I an remember Laughing out loud )

Early in the race was involved with a 3 way tussle. I learnt from the previous round(#8) to keep it clean and no wheel banging, so I gave ample room. I was pissed that the same wasn't returned to me, instead I was pushed further off line.

In the midst of all this, Thevan passed us, but thankfully after that I managed to leave them and tracked Thevan all the way to 4th place. 8th to 4th, happy enough.

Q2:

On the reverse grid, I got kart #19 on grid 10. This was an almost perfect kart(for me). Good pick up and mid-lvl, only thing it lacked the extra push at the top.

Can't remember much of the race.... Somehow got into 2nd place Smiling Can't recall which race, but i remember gettin bumpped a few times.

We were talking about this with Lobster and Brian that it's gettin more competitive and that in order to keep everyone racing as clean as possible, maybe we should send drivers into the sin-bin for dangerous/unfair racing.

Champaigne Cup:

5th highest points, even by then, the quicker kart has been taken. So since #19 was ok, i decided to stick with something I knew. Starting from 13th..... On the start, the run into the 1st corner was quick with the good pick up, but I noticed that alot of ppl were going for the inside line and bunching up alot, so I made my way to the outside and lo and behold, 1-2 karts tangled and I used that to my advantage to pass alot of karts(don't remember).

I think I was in 2/3rd by the 1st lap. Then moved passed easily into 1st with a better pickup. Kept that position till the last few laps, wen the lighter/quicker drivers caught and passed me.

I remembered someone bumped me to let me know he was there, I wagged my finger to signal, no, i'm not moving off my line Laughing out loud (hope that finger waggin wasn't taken e wrong way Have a beer ).

Hafizal managed to pass me easily.... Pickup was superb. I couldnt do anything. Then came Suhazlan and we had a good clean fight for 2nd place. Unfortunately I was paying too much attention to him and forgot that someone might come from the back.

On the penultimate corner, Sofie came around me on the outside. We bumped and I guess i hesitated and waved to apologize and he got the jump on me eventhough he went off the track onto the grass....

I was angry at myself for letting podium slipped thru my fingers.....

Anyhow, great racing with the pros that keeps it clean. Learnt alot, amongst them is to watch your back when you're attacking, someone's looking to pounce on you.

Overall, a much better weekend for me - 4th, 2nd & 4th in the finals, not bad for my 2nd race Laughing out loud Shook hands with the winner on the warm down lap then quickly darted back to the pits as I had to rest and recover for the MAAC Enduro later in the afternoon.

Q1:
Drew Kart#18, lucky I found out the right front tyre is punctured and the technician changed Kart#20 for me Eye . Charged myself from Grid #13 to 4th place and stuck by traffic (En Jamizan and Mohd Nasir – they are really good drivers). I really dont dare to be too aggressive since it is my 1st race in mykart and I dunno the track good enough. (I never karting in CK 1 week before the Rd9).
And 1st place (FIQ-Capeta) is pulling away with another good Kart#14 from Grid#3 since beginning, so… I only can finished 2nd… (Kinda sad, kinda lucky for me, haha… Sticking out tongue )

Q2:
Start on Grid#5, but this time my luck is gone. I get Kart#18, which suppose not to be on the grid (drive shaft bend – I am like riding a horse, haha…) I have a better start than Q1 but some how the kart just dont go for it after the Flag I lost 2 place and then stuck in 4 way tussle and after the 1st corner I drop to 14th place (If I dont mistaken because that’s only 2 karts behind me). I know I am in trouble, so I try my best to charge all the way with my HORSE, hahaha… (driving this kart is really tire) Sad .
After overtaken 3 karts I had a hard time with the kart infront, I only manage to follow him closely but my HORSE don’t really have enough power to help me overtake him either in straight or corner (afterward I found out he is K3-70) but on the last lap, last corner, he suddenly slide out and rear wheel run on the kerb. In my heart I yell “CHANCE” so I accelate earlier and side by side with him on exit and on straight I manage to win him with bumper… That’s really excited me. It not because his kart lost traction I will end up in 10th place. Really sorry I stolen the place… I hope I can belanja him a TT after Raya, ok Have a beer ?
PS: I am typical office worker who gotta work in office all the time and lack of exercise, Kart#18 really made me exhausted, hahaha…

Final A:
Qualified on 7th and manage to compete in Championship Final, I think is sweet for a 1st timer. But I did a terrible mistake because I only reconized 1st to 6th good kart… and I am #7… (What a joke! What a NOOB!, hahaha…) anyway I try my luck… since I start from Grid#11 I pick kart#11…
In formation lap I know I got a wrong choice Cry . The kart is a reasonable kart (but definitely cant compare with the 1st tier karts) but it collide in Coca-cola Cup and the axle bearing is broken, steering shaky, alignment out and understeer, so sad… anyway I try to keep my own pace rather try to compete with the others because I know Final wont be easy to overtake since that’s a lot of BUAYAs when especially u having a bad kart. With few collision infront of me and overtake or overtake-by others I only manage to improve 1 position… That’s the best result I can get Cry . Now I know how bad if the axle bearing broken… I even need to use my knee to support my elbow in straight and some corners…
But I am glad, I still manage to avoide some spun karts in front of me with my rusty skill and end my debut race…Clean Cool .

MY-KART really got a lot of decent drivers, it let me find the fun which I had, 3-4 years ago with all my “KAKI”.
Anyway this is my 1st race in MY-Kart, I really happy with the event and really appreciate all the hardwork from all the organisers (Bro - Have a beer Fazz, Azlan, Zul, Mark, Naza, Luen, Edwyn and the rest (Sorry, I wish to know u all, please give me some time). YOU GUYS IS GOOOOOD!! And I promise I will help out in Round 10 (Guys and girls, lets give them our hands).
