Movie about kart racing!

I was at home flipping the channels, to my surpise HBO was showing a movie titled "Kart Racer". Naturally, it's a Hollywood production. The racing scenes were average, some good onboard camera angle but a few things doesn't gel :

1. When showing some shots which were obviously expert driver piloting the karts, the arms were in the normal position i.e. bent. But cut to the actors piloting the karts, they are driving with straight arms.

2. In the last race, being Hollywood dramatic, the hero lost his engine with one more corner to the chequered flag but miraculously managed to re-start the engine mid-race. Even more miraculously, he was able to catch the leader and pass him on the finish line to take the win. Come on, in formula kart racing, you are lucky to make up 1 kart's length at the top of the grid!

Still, try to catch the replays on HBO, coz we are all racing junkies Smiling

Still... I'll try to catch the re-runs (although, I hardly spend time watching TV these days).

The last race sounded very artificial. Can you hear gear change? & the engine sounds more like a multiple cylinder 4-stroke engine.

I forgot to mention this. Yes you are right, they used a different sound track, not the high pitch whining sound of a kart engine, more like those NASCAR that runs on Daytona!

Thats Mr Hollywood as always trying to create bigger than life dramatics. Luckily, we have my-kart which is real ....they have only to visit our website and er.... Rizal or some of us would have accepted some roles.....with helmets on of course...*grin*
