helmet question
hi, i'm new here in my-kart.
would like to ask the veterans here if anyone could provide me some info where to get FIA approved helmets? budget is constrained around RM2K.
I've looked at OMP ones but don't like the look.
in addition, looking forward to join the karting series as well. but will need to learn more about the R&R and requirements.

there are not many selections of Helmet for autoracing in Malaysia unless direct import.
Local brand for autoracing that can easily to purchase, like OMP, Bell, Sparco. There are more of motorbike helmet choices like agv. Norlan, Arai, Shoei, Bell, HJC and SQL and etc. All these helmets mentioned are DOT, Snell, SA00, SA05, FIA homologation.
With budget of 2k, you have lots of choices if you hunting them at ebay.

i've been hunting at ebay actually but didn't get much search returns.. maybe my way of search is not correct but i still think that getting it locally from a distributor/reseller is easier as they can provide after sales service/warranty..
i know sparco is sold by speedzone but their website is down and i dont have their contacts, nor can i see what models they have..

City Karting were selling some quite nice Arai helmets within or just a bit over your budget. Might be worth checking with them too. You "might" be able to negotiate some payment terms such as 70% now, 30% next month... don't quote me, but it's certainly worth a try!
