Wasn't really a good round for me. Engine sputtered in champagne A and didnt managed had a good fight with the rest which ended up in bottom 8th.
Even with spark plugs, carburettor, fuel tank cap cover changed the kart problem showed the same symptom.
Hope to get this thing done before the next race.

Hahaha… mine even worst
Heat 1:
First time doing CCW on 125 cc, I was a bit too cautious… taking it really slow for few laps until I have the guts to really push it, then I start realizing that the engine sputtered each time exiting corners
Action: brother Bob checked & change the spark plug
Heat 2:
The kart shows improvements during sey’s stints…..
But luck was not on my side, the kart stalled on me….. Not once but twice
sob...sob...
Action: brother Bob removed the carburetor …. & detected it was dirty or sumthin = he replaced the carburetor
Final Race/B
I was determined not to do ‘the walk of shame’ called the mechanic & start the engine
Started ok… maintain my position (4th if am not mistaken) for the first few laps, but right after the hairpin before the long straight disaster happened… my kart stalled AGAIN!!
The devoted mechanic came to my rescue… after a few minutes they managed to start the engine.
Hahaha… today was not my day lah… the kart stalled again, at the same location where mizi stalled his kart…
from there onward I do my Sunday drive till the checkered flag

as i said...too much bad "chi" on the day....and "sinners"!
First heat, Dass Mund kentut and spun in front of me. I had to take evasive action which cost me a few places.
Second heat, someone else spun and same story.
Our kart #9 was not performing well either as evidenced by the 15-16 finish by both drivers from the heats.
Will be fixing the problems over the next few days. So my prediction stays for round 3.

For me, it was a consistent race where other peoples misfortunes were my success story !! hehehe
Heat 1
I started 7th on the grid and had a fantastic start and immediately joined the front pack. Naza and Mumu were in top form and broke away leaving me thinking I should just take it easy and hold my third place position. Unfortunately, the sniper (Shaeran) appeared from nowhere and out manoeuvred me closely followed by Ashraff. Shaeran and I battled for a long time and I was quietly confident that something unfortunate would happen to Ashraff (typically he will walk home)! A smile came across my face when I saw Mumu knee deep in mud by the chicane after a spin (sorry bro). I was now in 4th place. It was on the final lap I realised Ashraff's luck must have changed and I was not in a strong position so I pushed hard on the long straight and tried to outbrake both Ashraff and Shaeran which was a silly idea as i rapidly ran out of track and came close to ruining it for all 3 of us (bit luckily it didn't happen). So coming into the last turn, I was rather dismayed with my performance and succumbed to the fact the podium was out of sight for me..... UNTIL, Ashraff so beautifully and tastefully over steered in the final corner with less than 25m to the flag!! Hot on the tail of Shaeran I brought home a sweet 3rd place!!
Heat 2
Still basking in the glory of Heat 1, I was probably too overconfident and had a terrible start from the grid, despite the advantage of being No. 4 on the grid. Ashraff rocketed off like a fighter pilot and was no more to be seen and I was yet again caught off guard by the sniper (Shaeran) and we continued our battle to the flag throughout most of the race except when both Naza and Amirrul swiftly passed both of us and on the last lap when Tarmizi robbed me of my 5th place and parked me at 6th across the chequered flag! Overall it was a rather disappointing finish.
Final
YEEEHAAAH, my first ever entry into Group A finals!!! Out came the Schumi helmet as a reward!! I started at the back of the grid and ended the race at the back…. But who cares, it was the Group A final, my first ever! The entire race was yet again a battle between Shaeran and myself. I seized the opportunity several times to pass Shaeran on the straight and it was a battle of nerves to see who was going to give in first before the next corner and each time I lost my mojo and had to give in. I was taking advantage of my faster acceleration out of the turn but as our karts came side by side Shaerans top end was better than mine and he held me to the final moment where I had no choice but to give way. This battle continued until the chequered flag.

overall round 02 was ok for me.... although disappointed for not winning.
i am starting to feel like jacques villeneuve who can't adapt to the narrow grooved tyres in f1. i just can't adapt to the mismatch between power and low tyre grip. as a late braker, i like to have the feeling of security that the tyres would do a good job at slowing the kart down at the last moment (now i have to change my braking points and driving style).
still qualy one was a good one for me. starting from 9th, i managed to make up some ground at the start passing bombe and desmond. at the end of lap one i was 8th with IskM7 and Brian E ahead of me. Isk had problems on lap 2 and i managed to pass Brian and Azlan to move to fifth. i tried to close in on Yusnee (4th) and Ramsey's (3rd) private battle. Couldn't make much ground and had to worry about Azlan behind me. Azlan managed to pass me on lap 5, but i would take it back soon after. Ramsey started to slow down a little and was holding Yusnee up and i saw my chance as both were outbraking each other. I slipped past Yusnee at the 1st hairpin and then made my way past Ramsey and finished the race in 3rd.
the second qualy was also good as i started on the front row with Brian E. The flag marshall waved the flag too late and Brian had not seen it... which meant that i could sneak past him into the 1st hairpin into the lead. I stayed there all the way to the end, with DasGoodz keeping me honest all the way to the end. A few times he would put his kart in a position to pass, but i managed to squeek through to win... thank goodnezzz..
this set me up nicely for the final, but i had naza (THIS IS NAZA!!!!) starting alongside me. However, my start was good and i got ahead of Naza. However the man was so much better than me through the corners and knowing Naza... was waiting to pounce on my mistake. I made a small mistake on 4 exiting the far end corner leading in to the main back straight... slid too much and gave Naza the room and the exit he needed to pull alongside me as we rushed towards turn 10 (at the end of the straight). Under normal circumstances i would try to outbrake him, however... not with low grip tyres.
I lost the race there as i could not keep pace with him there after.

Heat 1 (K1 B)::
Started on pole. Had a good start and managed to stay front all the way to the flag. But had to struggle with the grip... basically sliding at almost every corner. Kart acceleration was also surging, power doesnt comes in straight away. Anyway, it was a good first run on kart #4.
Heat 2 (K1 B)::
Started last. Everyone tries to pull alongside after the starting straights, which then caused my kart to stall. Started again after losing a couple seconds. Managed to catch up Azlan... then Luen and Yus... and then storming up to the 3rd positioned Ramsey. Tried same manouvers to outbreak but he gained back on acceleration.. Then I went for another try b4 the back straights, but this time I failed to control the kart causing me a spin. 3 of them then went passed me.. and I followed behind. Finished 7th.
Final K1 A ::
. Caught up with Ashraff, and tried to outbreak him at the back straights but he has the acceleration power. Tried again next lap but same result.. then I noticed my brakes slowly fading and still sliding around, so I stopped pushing and settled with 4th.
Started in 3rd. Lost some position on start due to the chaotic 1st hairpin turn. Lap 2 saw some overtaking chances and went for it. Had some bumps with other karts in the process... sorry yea
Hope to maintain my run at the top of the championship

my side of the story
heat 1
my choke lever was up. was running on full rich mixture, which explain why my engine was misfiring all the way. Blame is on me not to check it.(first time ever happened to me). after the rolling start everybody overtook me. after the parabolic corner i span trying to avoid someone who span earlier on.
heat 2
after troubleshooting the engine, everything was okay. desmond said everything was fine.Good for me. started last and managed to climb and finish 5th. BaBa aka burung gagak gave me no chance at all and was stuck behind him for the last remaining laps...
final B
few corners before the end of the first lap sniffed some weird burning smell..looked down and so puff of smoke.one of the electrical cables shorted and minor flame going on between my XXXXs . shining wet petrol tank tells me that jumping off the kart quickly might be a good idea. end of story for me..lol.
heads up for the next round.

Gentlemen,
An extraordinary combination of luck, a kart that responded to my silent prayer not to give up on me, a host of problems falling on my fellow drivers contributed to this win.....finally!
Q1:
Started on the 3rd row and was surprised that Junior at P1 was slow off the start....what happened? I later found out from him that the choke lever was up (as for now his allowance will stay subject to verification whether his story is true). I passed him and was extremely cautious at T1 sticking very close to Amirrul and Zul so as not to give any space to the other predators. As we went round T2 leading to the fast parabola, I was pleasantly surprised that most of my fellow drivers went too wide with acres of space for me to drive thru on the inside. Thank you very much. By this time Mumu was speeding away while we fellas were busy at the back. I managed to gradually closed the gap and was at Mumu's tail but he was always a hard man to passed. Well I must confessed that it did cross my mind that finishing at P2 would not be too bad at this stage. However, an unexpected error by mumu or was it a mechanical problem gave me the opportunity to drive home a win. Thanks Mumu!
Q2:
Started at P6 alongside the gagak sniper and just behind practice mate, Da Lobsta! Faiz and YY occupied the front row and Ashraff just to my left was silent and I am quite sure that he will be going all out to forget that rd 1 school boy error...I thought he looked menacing....yikes!
The usual mayhem at the start and locking horns as we rushed to T1 saw me squeezed out further to the back. Suddenly I was staring at Amirrul's rear who had quickly climbed from P7 to the front. Thats it ! I am determined to stick to him as I remembered how I was humbled in rd1. That worked well as I tailed him wheel to wheel and in the process managed to pass some drivers too. By this time Ashraff was a fair distance away at P1 and its just left to Amirrul and I to battled it out for P2. Tried as I may but the young lad was very consistent and made no mistakes nor leaving any space for me to try any passing maneouvres. This lad will be more than ready to take on anyone within a few more races.
Finale:
Hee hee hee!...Guess who was besides me ?..its Da Fazz! I thought that my start was good but to my dismay, it was fazz who went thru T1 first. I was determined not to allow him to get away and was fully aware that Danny should be tailing me. It was very close, wheel to wheel and I felt my rear being bumped a few times......but cant tell who it was.
Yet again a duel to the finish with my nemesis, Da Fazz. Boy, it was tough and his experience showed each time I closed the gap and tried to create a pass.....no success! However, he did make an error and slide out a tad wider at the fast conor leading to the back straight. I managed to get parallel to him at about midway on the straight and held that way to the braking point. To be honest I was'nt at all sure that I would be able to keep the line intact but somehow I did and tucked in front of him and drove as fast as I could to the finish line. Thanks Fazz, huge adrenalin flows when we ran parallel!
Rd 3 beckons and its going to be tougher as we all gained more experience. I dont do forecast but I have a feeling that yet another driver will take the chequered flag.

Guys,
Tho I was the "JPJ" in the races - it was fun racing with you all and I can say that most of the drivers especially those from 2005 - "ORANG LAMA" has matured and progressed in their driving ability.
Even the newbies are okay and those who needed cautioning were already done by me in person.....so no need repeat here.
Btw, even JPJ is entitled to one silly spin and kudos to those who to took avoiding action to miss me! Also apologies if I disturbed your invidual fights....
Kudos to Naza for the win....and the rest of K1 pilots for giving me a good workout.
Btw, there were some of you which had mechanical issues. Please get this resolve before Rd 3 to ensure you maximise your FUN.
Cheers!
