WANNA RACE IN SEPANG?

Folks,
A few hardcore mykarters have a longing to race at the SIC track, Sepang. However, this did not materialise as the Sepang outfit does not have 125s and the 100s and 80s are few in numbers to cater for a typical my-kart Saturday meeting. We bounced this idea off AP and he finally said why not if we are willing to foot the kart transport and SIC track charges.

AP mentioned RM 1000 for lorries and SIC track charges. If all really want to try Sepang here are some issues:

1)Can we all be at Sepang by 7.30 am? Maybe start at 8.30am and done by 4pm.
2)Bring your own lunch boxes. The nearest food outlet is at the LCCT area.
3)Assuming there are 60 drivers, each will have to chip in about 1000/60 = RM 16.00. We can collect RM 8.00 per driver at rd 3 and another RM 8.00 at rd 4 to spread the cost and run the Sepang race in rd 5. Does'nt sound too bad does it?

.Sepang is awesome dude!.. so what say the others?

Guys,

Just a pointer.....the gearing will need changing for Sepang so perhaps there's also additional cost for the kart set-up. Please bee this in mind and please also make sure you keep the old sprockets from Shah Alam cos you will need that when you race there again.

I am game to join you all in Sepang.....that is if I am allowed and in town.

A weekend of practise recommended as the 1st corner requires a bit of getting used to....esp with our current SABUN tyres.

SABUN tyres must be similar to TEFLON Tyres... 100% non stick!

urm guys.. if we are going to make this sepang event as one of the rounds, i reckon we need to speed up as May event is coming soon. and the response to this is not that good. if the response is good, then we can finalize with the price as soon as possible. and many things can be prepare from then on..

yes, i mentioned this before... but we need to put together some concept papers; but more importantly we need "cables" and some funds to do this. to be honest, i have done nothing of the sort. but if anybody keen on putting together some concepts and perhaps bring a few people from the councils and some potential sponsors, then i would be more than happy to oblige to provide the vision.
