Citroen newbie needs help - wheel info
Fellas,
Sometime later this week I'm going to take delivery of a used Evasion I've just purchased, it's a 2001 model, 16v auto with ~34k km on the tripmeter.
The car is well taken care of, it comes with full Citroen service history, so there's not much I need to do once I take possession of the unit.
The tyres, however, are apparently the same set that came with the car when it rolled out of the showroom, so after 4 years, they're as good as 'tukun' material. So it looks like my 1st stop would be the tyre shop.
The original tyre size is 205/65/15, and since the tyres needs changing I'm toying with the idea of going for 16" alloys. I was told the Evasion's wheel dimensions are;
PCD=5x98
Offset=28~30
Centre bore=58
I was also told that the Alfa Romeo 156 & 164 shares the same wheel dimensions... is this true?
I would like to know if all Citroen models share the same wheel dimensions, or do they differ by model?
What other marques/makes shares the above wheel dimensions?
To all Citroen/Alfa sifus, your comments/feedbacks are most welcomed.
Cheers!
Ed (K3)

Yes, Alfa 147, 156 and 164 also share the same PCD and centrebore (5/98, 58) but their offset is slightly higher (+35).
Other Citroen models like ZX and Xsara uses 4/108, not sure about the newer batch lke C3 and C5.
I suppose the Evasion share the same PCD as Alfa's because it's a common platform between Fiat, Peugeot and Citroen. Most Fiat rims and also same as Alfa.

Wei Li, thanks.
A higher offset means the wheel will sit deeper into the car...right? Will have to check if +35 will fit w/o any problems.
Umm...anyone selling a set of 147/156/164 16" rims...?
Citroen sifus...what are the wheel dimensions for the Xantia..?

Ed, I think higher positive offset mean the hub is sitting further from the centre of the wheel.
If you wanna look for Alfa/Fiat rims, go to www.italiaauto.com, razmyn is the big brother there!!!!

Wei Li, yes you are right.
I think +ve offset means further in, -ve offset means further out.
Halamak betul ke ni...?!?
Anyway...thanks for the tip...will certainly check it out.
