Well.. today ain't my day as I kept having leceh karts.
Heat 1 : Got kart #20. As soon as I went out for the warm-up lap.. instantly I know I can't win with this kart. There was no pick-up and also no top end. So right at the start.. everyone just ngap me only.. In the middle of the race, Emmy and Abdul Warith spun out. It took them a long time to recover, so I took their place. Else I reckon my kart will lead me to the last position.
Heat 2 : Got kart #13. This kart is better than kart #20. This kart has top end but no pick-up. Hahaha~ Bad luck. Try to throttle early, so that at least I can follow them to the 1st corner. But as soon as the green flag is waved, they just waved good-bye to me. Was at last place when I hear a loud exhaust coming in the front. Instantly, saying thank you to Captain M Razmyn A Rahman, knowing he will be pitting to change his kart. Emmy spun after that and I overtook her. But Emmy was catching up slowly lap by lap. And finally overtook me at the final lap. Nice run Emmy~
Final Heat : Don't know what to choose. So I just chose kart #13. Sadly the kart couldn't even start up. See how bad luck today. Anyway, after several tries and still couldn't start the kart, the mechanics asked me to change a kart quickly. Sorry guys, to make you guys run so many formation lap. But next time, I reckon just start the race after 3 formation laps. The show must go on. So there was kart #6. Start it up and just speed off. As soon as I came out, Emmy engine dies off. So another formation lap. Manage to overtake a couple of guys in the first lap and was at 3rd for the remaining laps. Saw the 1st and 2nd driver fighting for their place for a couple of laps.. and then it was just about maintaining that position, bring it home and not make any errors.
Overall : Wasn't a good day but indeed a nice race knowing no matter where I finish, I will be 1st in my category. And was happy to see my overall position change from 5th to 4th. (Dropped to 5th from 2nd after missing just one rd) Also seeing some other drivers chasing up with the points. Was a fantastic final with the K1 and K2 running together.. Should do it the next time. But with more planning this time. Good race.

Didnt do good today. Just want to share my SHOCK-ing experience.
Was driving without a suit yesterday and short sleeved, so it happened that i drove #18 on the 1st heat. Upon my very first lap, i started to get 'tiny stones' flying and hitting relentlessly at my right torso, somehow the intensity increases at corners. After a a few corners, i can feel the pain concentrated on my right armpit. Was thinking where the hell as these stones come from?
Chose to ignore it, believing that it was just flying tiny stones coming from the front driver's tyres. But as i was approaching a corner in my 3rd lap, i got a sudden hard electric static at my fingertip (reflected me to let go the steering and spun) although i was wearing a glove, think it reacted with the metal steering. Thats where i found out "hell,i was taking electric shocks all this while!".My right arm was exposed to the plug on the right side. Didnt change the kart though, thought that it'll be the same for other karts. So the electrical attacks continued relentlessly, just bared the pain. Luckily it didnt happen again on my 2nd heat and final, maybe it was absorbed by ramsey's vest ;P.
So i finished yesterday's race with a bruise under my right armpit, like kena cucuk by many jarum, lots of tiny red dots. Hehe. Would like to know whether anyones else has experienced this too? Learned my lesson though, always wear a suit, or at least a long sleeve shirt.
So yesterday's cornering experience was SHOCK-ING indeed!

..being chosen in the first group in heat 1, obviously i had to adapt w the kart given..kart #1 was a good kart but it vibrated TOO HARD and felt weird the whole body! and plus it could easily stalled if you slowed it down, so during heat one, i spun slightly at the hairpin corner and my kart stalled.. apparently the mechanics took AGES to get the starter!
during heat 2, i used kart number 6, it was an ok kart ..i was right behind warith till "that somebody" made me spun at corner 1.........
i chosed kart #1 during final and i tried to bear with the vibration and avoid running slowly or the kart wud stalled again.. during flagged off i pushed really hard coz i know captain was right behind me.. after few laps, he actually overtook me at parabola corner and waved at me...he was like flying! captain, u knw ure on a kart right...??not on a plane!

Sure he wasn't taking pictures... he has a habit of doing that even when he's supposed to be flying; overtaking aircraft and snapping (not gnapping) them.

»Jac Soo:
My lucky day, have 2 decent kart in both Qualifying but poor strategy in Final.
Q1 : Kart #6. The same kart that help me won my qualifying in Rd 5. Feel too excited till I did a mistake (throttle too late) and everybody overtook me at 1st corner. Charge up smoothly till Captain Razmyn gave me some hard time. Abang Ajak is pulling away with kart #19 (another competitive kart), try to chase Abang Ajak but due to lack of practice, every slight mistake I did make he gap bigger. Finished 2nd macam macam ada bukan main main, hahaha…
Q2 : Kart #1. The kart that used by Emmy in Q1, and YES to what Emmy mentioned the kart is so “GELI” uncomfortable but have very nice grip, top end not as good as Kart #6. Try not to make same mistake like Q1 (Abang Ajak is behind with less power Kart #18) throttle in good timing and side by side with Captain Razmyn into 1st corner (sorry and thanks Captain but I have no choice but force to drive my 2 left wheels on curb). After overtake Warith I try to maximize the advantage of clear traffic as mush as I can (Abg Ajak still stuck in traffic). Strategy work out well, finished 1st.
Final A: 4 competitive karts on the list, Kart #1, 3, 6, and 19
I pick kart #6 (due to the sitting position, I can reach pedal easily). The race and rain start together, after overtook Kok Ho, the rain seen heavier I hold back my pace and monitoring how Julian doing infront (I have a evil thought lol) avoid Ramsey without touching him (almost, because he try to recover) right after this on the following hairpin entry I hear a loud engine sound from behind ZOOM!! Abang Razak out-brake me… =_= 2nd place gone… after Razak overtook me he just keep the pace (I believe because of the rain and K1/K2 Mix Final, 3 of us drive cautiously and the race finished on lap 6.
Overall : A good day finally come to me, Final Race I should PUSH or KEEP PACE? I have the answer… poor strategy but right decision. “SAFETY FIRST”. We not only responsible to our own safety as well as others on the track (I am a victim in a previous round). K1 and K2 Mix Race if everybody pushing hard is kinda dangerous.
Congrate to Julian but I still GERAM!!!! LOL

hehehe...what can I say...another quickie yet again...
fly in...race...& fly out...fuhhh...what a day indeed...
Q1 was rather ok for me..as usual i had a not bad kart...lucky no 13 for me...it was quick...but obviously not quick enuf to catch razak & to avoid being overtaken by jac...& finished 3rd...
highlight of Q1 was when Jac & me arrived at the 3rd last corner after the long back straight...when i realised someone had spun & stalled his kart right just off the apex...realising Jac was very close to overtaking me...i had to raise my arms signalling him not to overtake me then...& he slowed down...thanks Jac...cud be a worst scenario shud you continued the maneuver...(maybe we shud think of using more yellow flags in future races)
Q2 was not a good race for me...was due for kart 20 but it was taken out & given kart 10 instead...went out & immediately realised that i wont get anywhere with this kart as it had no top end...pick up was good but no top end...not soon after we started the race..i had a surprise...power suddenly came out of nowhere but accompanied by a loud...very very loud noise from my engine...for a while i thot i had white smoke coming out from the exhaust ala F1 hehehe..but i soon realised it's the exhaust pipe that's became loose...ADOI!!! there goes my race larrr...pit-in & changed to kart no 3...& WOW!!! this kart can really fly...but not enuf to catch the rest of the field obviously as i can see Jac just 1-2 corners behind me
...
sad story this one...
Finished LAST!!!
Finals....Coke Cup Finals this round...was the top driver so i get to choose my kart first...hehehehe }:) & lucky no 3 it was...Whoahahahahahaha!!!
formation laps took longer than usual...but when the race started..i took off like never before...hahaha..i love this kart...emmy was maintaining the lead for 1-2 laps & i managed to catch up & just waited till she make a mistake...which she did at the 2nd corner trying to take a defensive line which cost her the exit speed...i'd happily overtook...waving gud bye at the same time & lead the race till it finishes...hehehe...
overall...good racing from all in K2...tho i can see some unhappiness among some of the racers for not having a good race...well its understandable as everyone gets more & more competitive..all i can say is that...we are all in this for fun...hence safety is more paramount than winning...as we are not being paid to race here...& unless it is so...we should just enjoy the fun & be safe always...
Regards,
Newbie

Warith...had that experience before...i can say its quite painful..
that the 8 laps felt more like 80 laps...after the race...told the mechanics & they just laugh..taking it very lightly...i felt like raising my middle finger that day...but i kept my cool...
guess it happens when the grounding wires are not properly connected or the plug wires are exposed...dunno really...but it was not nice..i understand your experience...tho..i was wearing my full racing attire that day..didnt make much difference whether full suited or not...
hehehe
