Kart #7 did not have acceleration out of corners.
My final B round, kart just died during warm up lap. This was caused by the fuel pin/needle which snapped. So it didnt work when i accelerate.
Sad day.

AJK Makan's Quest for a single championship point:
Well, lady luck chose to abandon me for this race, and evidently planted herself to Ashraff for some strange reason. It was a hot day, broken by a short spell of rain which did not stop the overall event, and all my efforts landed me that preciousss single championship point. HOwever, it is rather crowded and competitive from 6th to 12th placing in the championship, and my day's effort caused me to be cast out, temporarily I hope, from the Top 10. Later that evening I drowned my sorrows in Carl's Junior Fast Food Burger joint, but that's another story...
Q1: After waiting anxiously for Bob the mechanic to "fix" my carburettor, upon Mumu's advice who didn't do too well in his Q1 A round, I went out for the formation lap and immediately realised that nothing was really fixed at all! I had loss of power coming out of corners, with the engine holding back, sputtering for the crucial 1 second, each time I wanted to accelerate. I soon realised this after the green flag was waved, and quickly found myself at the bottom pack.
However, an incident at the beginning of lap 2, saw my own cousin trying to re-enact the famous "liwat" case on me, and instead of turning smoothly into turn 1, I found my cousin and his kart on top of my right side! It seems he came in too fast on the inside corner and managed to turn just in time to avoid "t-boning" me...hmm..T Bone steak...(snap out of it!!)
That incident did little damage but left me safely in last position.
Q2: I advised Mumu to get the problem fixed, which he did. In my second outing, the kart performance was much better, but this time, a series of driver errors left me at the end of the pack, and I finished 6th I think, giving me a safe P9 starting grid in the Final B!
Final B: I had a fairly decent start, and found myself right behind Fazz, in a pack with Sheran Gagak in front and Luen right behind me. It was dogfights all the way with the Crow Hunter, as I tried desperately to capitalise on any errors he would make in trying to gain position up front! Eventually overtook him upon entering the start/finish flag on entry to the final lap, but my joy was shortlived as I forgot to brake in time at turn 1, turning in wide, and letting Gagak overtake me (& he was laughing in his helmet..the bugger!), but managed to come back in time to avoid Luen from overtaking me.
However, he did so around the parabola, and it was a furious chase all the way to the 2nd last corner before the chequered flag, where I easily took Luen who, funnily, seemed to be taking his sweet time taking the racing line into the corners. Post race, he told me he didn't see me at the long straight...which I suspected, because I stealthily ducked to his right as he looked left, and the poor bugger didn't realise I was right behind him all along! heheh...that's the proper way to play at the back...oops!

...while waiting for the F1 Budapest to start, my rd 8 history went as follows:
Q1 :
Should not have underestimated Luen's warning about the kart eagerness to loose its rear when exiting corners under power. Well, I spun at the chicane and thanks to both IskM7 and Fazz quick reflexes, tapped my bumper a bit but none the worse.....cheh!...I missed kart no. 2
Q2 :
Having learned how unforgiving the kart was, I started Q2 with vengeance and with better adaptation, tailed the group and was quite confident of finishing better. Than on lap 2, again I spun, this time having to brake rather heavily for fear of climbing over Faiz at the end of the downhill straight hairpin......I kicked myself for this. I recovered and the last two laps had big fun with El Presidente....Ole!
Final B:
Before leaving the pit,...someone said pssst! Bang Naza, you have nothing to lose, lower the pressure a bit!....and so I did.
I started last at grid 8, (sorry, Azlan was at grid 9). I was able to pass a couple of drivers as we cleared T1 after the start. In my sights were the sniper, Faiz and hellooooo...its Fazz again (I think its destined bro that we will diced yet again....I thought). For a good many laps it was a threesome duel after shaeran was passed. It was real hard work for me old bones to pass both Faiz and Fazz...the terrible twin Fs! Lo and behold the leader I was slowly closing to was none other than that familiar red Da Lobsta! Its battle royale with Da Lobsta for the 2 remaining laps until I found a space on the inside as we pushed into the apex of parabolica. Muchos Gracias Mark! As I passed him, I shouted "Sorry bro!", to deny him yet another chance to win!

General
After Rd 6 and Rd 7 where I managed to retain last position with ease, I had nothing to lose for this round! Things could only remain the same or get better!
Q1
Started at the back of the grid and had a bad start but hoped to gain a place or two either from good driving or other peoples mistakes, most likely the latter. Isk and Azlan had a collision at the parabola entry and as I approached from behind I though Azlan may have been injured, so I slowed down to see if he needed help. Fortunately he was OK and by this point Isk had rejoined the race and I left Azlan to sort himself out! I had now gained 1 position, the improvement I was looking for!!! BUT, as I approached to the double apex my engine died and I had to wait for the mechanics to bring me a new spark plug and in no time at all Azlan was passing by. Needless to say I finished in last place and maintained my consistent performance!
Q2
Started at the front of the grid and managed to get a great start – thanks to my new spark plug! Isk was the race leader and I was chasing his bright yellow suit as hard as I could but was also aware of ongoing pressure from Yusnee who was just waiting for me to give him the gap he was looking for – no way buddy, not when I’m up in the front pack! However his pressure was mounting and I was really feeling it and was relieved when Ramsey joined the battle. As long as the two of them were having a battle BEHIND me I just had to play it safe and maximise the opportunity. At this point I managed to break away from them enough to relieve me of Yus’s pressure and then tried to battle with Isk. Came home in second place much to my own amazement and that of all the other drivers!
Final
Due to a poor Q1 I still remained in Group B. Fortunately though it was at the front of the grid of Group B rather than back of the grid of Group A! Had a good start but Zul must have hit the nitrous and was flying away with me in hot pursuit but a constantly widening gap! Again, I thought to myself just hold the pace and position and finish the race in second place, but lady luck beamed down when I saw Zul spin ahead of me. GNAP, I zipped past him and took the race lead. Adrenaline was pumping and I was just thinking ‘don’t overheat the tyres’, ‘take care of te engine’, ‘watch the race lines, don’t over push’ …… Managed to hold first place all the way to the last lap but was well aware of GNAPA, errr Naza gnapping me from behind. Having been gnapped on the last lap by him on MANY occasions before I was absolutely determined he was not going to get the better of me this time. I stepped up the pace and pushed harder as we approached the parabola when…… I pushed too hard went a bit wide and the sharp crocodile eyes of GNAPA saw the opportunity and slipped in to take the race lead. Still, I came home in second place which was a victory for me!! It was only after the race I discovered GNAPA had actually started from the back of the grid and gnapped his way to win the race. Well done Bro!

It was a certainly one of the best outings for me... everything went on perfectly as i intended to.
Tyres were flexible enough to grip or loose whenever i want it... power was great too.
And with my favourite counter clockwise, it made me much confident that i managed to push all the way till the end for every run.
Hope the good run will maintain till the last race of the season.
