Yeah its a good thing to do but after you donated your blood, you would be a little bit dizzy or your concentration would be less sharp than usual. Even if we want to make it after the event we would be tired, sweaty and a hint of petrol smelling at our bodies. Do you think CK would provide a suitable place for us to donate blood? I won't mind though donating my blood there though
theres always someone who needs it y'know.

perhaps we could arrange a date which is not on a race day for my-karters to come forward and donate i.e. fixed time and place with plenty of notice to eveyone.

is true that pre-race blood donation is not good.
Infact medical advises that should not have excessive activities before or after blood donation. Here are some paragraph that highlighted from internet search;;
"After donating 450 mL (1 U) of whole blood, plasma volume falls 7% to 13%, then recovers within 24 to 48 hours...
endurance athletes to think of the blood donation day as a rest day, and to tread cautiously the next day because hydration stores may not be replenished and delayed vasovagal effects may occur. "
"After donating, please.... Do not lift or carry heavy objects today. Do not do strenuous exercise today... Drink extra liquids the rest of the day. Eat a hearty meal within 4 hours."
