Things have finally settled down today. It was one of the muscles connections in the lower back region that was causing the problem. I've done 100's of practice laps using the OMP protector and D2's with no problems at all. Just goes to show what can happen over time. Lesson learned

Surely FreeM or even the SParco which looks an exact match.....Tillet - never tried so I wun comment.

Chris - I hope ur ribs are better now and I was kinda worried cos I know what's it's like to drive with a bad rib.....i have broken 2 ribs to tell u plenty stories, so please take care!

It was a good event.

During the qualifying I found some space and started to push.
Suddenly felt as though someone had stabbed me in the ribs and had to stop. Only managed to set a time just under 57s.

Managed to complete the event. Quite disappointed as this time the kart was great but the driver was a turkey.

Great to see Mizi and Hanif on the podium.

Hope to be fit for then next open, and round 3

Congrats to all, and I think I must relinguish the title "sifu" after getting beaten in the game.....sob!

Anyhow, I hope to see more drivers joining this and then u know what's it like out there.....

The race has two classifications, 125 Open and 125 Max. Majority were in the 125 Max class. The 125 Open included the DD2, RM1, IAME and modified 125s.

Round 2 is schedule on March 21st 2009.

Here's my experience on Saturday.

Heat 1
It was a normal outing. Not exciting at all honestly. There's no one at back poking me or someone in front that I can play with. All and all its a lonely race and I finished right in the middle 12th out of 24

Heat 2
This race was really exciting I must say. 4 karts battling each other throughout the whole race. Some play it safe, some were a bit too excited and some were cunning hehe. I'm sure Zainy is a grumpy man when I overtook him in the last lap in the last corner. I finished a hard fought 12th again

Final
I changed the settings a bit on the kart and pretty much the kart behaves a little properly for the final race. I started 11th. I was driving conservatively as I don't want to get into any mishaps and such and it paid off nicely . I was following a kart(forgot his name) for almost the whole race and finally again, I overtook him at the last corner in the last lap and did a final drag race to the finish. I won the drag race by a fingernail I think. Overall it was a very fun race and hot too!

Btw me and Tarmizi was grumbling about 125 open and 125 class. We didn't expect our names to be called at all

I managed to be at CK minutes before the final race & it was fantastic!!
All the buayas that we keep in myKART pond knows how to bite & trust me.. we bite big chunks at one go!!

During the final I was behine Hanif when someone climb over me and hit my radiator, unfortunately I don't realise that my radiator already leaking until the engine seized...ouchh

Most of all what a nice race and what an experience racing with all the gurus, also have a close fight with Azizi, S.K Wong and Hanif. can't wait till the next race..
