what happened to nazaruddins??
Partner,
Q1 - bloody clutch went bust!
Q2 - Big mess at T1, have no way to go to avoid a few spinning karts and fell to the back. After that susah to catch up lah!
Final B - Big mess again at T1, a few karts spinning but was lucky to be able to sneak safely through. Had good fun Dogfighting with Faiz all the way to the finish.
...I will seek Jensen Button's consent to borrow his bomoh for rd 7.

TheFazz | overall i am very happy to
overall i am very happy to be back on the podium.
qualifying 1
started from 5th position with mizi, ashraff, faiz and chris ahead of me. i made an ok start, but as we got to turn one, i had to avoid a spinning chris, which allowed me to gain one position. however, i was soon harrassed by edwyn who was flying and took a position off from me. i tried to keep up with edywn, and went past faiz at the first hairpin under braking. then mizi had some problems and i gained another position to finish 3rd behind the flying edywn and ashraff in 2nd.
qualifying 2
started from 3rd with edwyn and azlan (polesitter) ahead of me. as we rushed towards turn one, edwyn was trying to overtake azlan and as a result of which a gap appeared for my taking. i passed both edywn and azlan and stayed close to the apex to turn two to prevent azlan from attacking back. soon after that i stayed ahead till the end of the race. lucky for me edwyn was held back by other drivers and allowed me a bit more of a breathing space.
with the qualifying sessions over, i found myself 2nd in the qualifying rank. man. that was so sweet.
final A!!!
man. i cannot remember the last time i was in final A. such has been my dismal performance for about half a year now. was starting to think of retirement and taking a management role. fortunately, round 06 was a good outing. kart 1 was a good kart. and i was happy with it, except that i was not as quick as edwyn in kart 10. i started on the front row alongside polesitter edywn. i tried to take edywn into turn one with a lurid sideways move on the inside. unfortunately, the move didn't work. thereafter i set about chasing edwyn... but he was on average 4 tenths faster per lap than I. i ended the race in second with a nice haul of points.
would have been better to get the 20 points as i may not have a similar chance like this in the future - and i don't often like finishing second especially when the chance of winning was as close as today. a bit sad as a result. but one balance ok lah, considering...
round 07 will be another story. hopefully a good one.
Don Pang La Sherriel | Congrats!
congrats to you! too bad i wasnt able to make it there to witness that winning
rizalkhalid | Congrats to Edwyn! nice
Congrats to Edwyn! nice race all around, esp for K1s.
Having 6 different winners goes to show how competitive the drivers and karts are. This is what we are looking for.
However, the same cant be said for the K2s. Not sure whether its the disparaty among the drivers or the karts or both, but we are lacking the competition for one reason or another. For Rd6, the five drivers are separated by one sec each. something just doesnt add up.
i'll comment more in the K2 thread.

After half a season of K3 and a full season of K2, finally I got myself to K1. But through out the years, I never been able to win any Final Heat. This has been my first win for a Final Heat. And what more it was the K1 category. Best run for me at the moment.
Heat 1, I started off from 6th place and manage to dogfight all the way to 1st. Heat 2, I started from 2nd place but drop to last place because of a simple mistake I made that nearly cause me a spun. Was able to save it and after that, I pushed to the max to chase the rest of the pack. Was able to finish 2nd. Final Heat, I started from pole and as the green flag waved, I was away and was in my own league. Excellent race. Now the question is, can I maintain it?
Bro,
Congrats and it was an awesome job! Indeed, winning is tough but its much tougher to maintain that winning streak but not impossible.
