Actually, after thinking about it.... I'll say go with 80cc(new engines again?
) but up the hours and set a lower limit for number of drivers.
If we set a lower limit numbers of drivers, the costs will be higher for a driver. This will then crash with my-kart objectives of affordability. But thanks for the opinion, will put it in one of the options as well.
Hmmm, that is true..... will think of something else to add then....
Suggest have a variable number of drivers per team. Say between 4 and 8 drivers. That way the teams can determine their own affordability levels accordingly.
Mark, the idea is good. But it could not boost up the maximum numbers of drivers or participant. We want more people to race this time rather than more supporters~

*Committee - can we do 100/125cc for 6hrs(or maybe less
) in the Grand Finale Team Event?*
...sure, we can do 100 / 125 cc for 6 hrs and that will cost about RM 3000.00 in comparison to RM 2000.00 for the 6 hr enduro on brand new 80cc engines that we already did.
Anyway, we have started working on planning for the Grand Finale and have a few options including the above and the 6 hours record is in danger!
Yup.. we have started working on it and still deciding whether to keep it at 80cc but longer hours or upgrade it to 100/125cc but remain it at 6hrs. Many things have to be put into consideration if we are using 100/125cc karts - safety, how many knows how to drive it, etc..
Will update all of you, when we sorted out all of it~ But yea.. 6hrs is in DANGER~!!!

But at the track u looked buggered... guess it was heat exhaustion, rather than being tired
Was surprised myself that I don't feel "punctured" after the race.
It was the heat that got into me.
Still can go around Taipan for lunch, walk around to buy 4D & Toto 6D without any problem or body-ache.
Only yesterday a slight soreness of the back muscle (near the kidney area) was felt when exerting pressure.
Another possibility is I'm taking a sunday drive and didn't push the kart hard enough.
If not for the left understeer & slightly loose right oversteer, the kart is kind of gentle to the arms.
U paced urself quite nicely, i think a few of us were also worried about lasting the full 30min. Now we know how 30min feels, we'll know wat to expect in the future.

I pushed 90% of the time in the Qualifying n Feature but in Sprint, i couldnt take the constant pounding my kart was giving me, so i dropped from 1st till 6th.

This time in K1 with very much better fitness.
Pssssttttt.....30 minutes too short lah! Ahem!!

Sure or not? Too short for ppl to start needing medical assistance isit?
But if my kart wasnt bouncing up and down, yea, would've been able to do another 30min
Whether u believe it or not, my very badly out of shape body & fitness doesn't seem to have been stretch to the stress limit yet. My mind is still clear and I believe I can still carry-on for another 15 minutes without any problem or either I haven't push the kart hard enough!!
Only suffered from heat exhaustion but 2 cans of 100 PLUS solved that problem.

stevo | Thanks all for a great race
Thanks all for a great race and congrats to the winners! Good job on organizing too, mr edwyn and the comm!
A special congrats to my Kookaburra teammate Zoggee for being the inaugural K2 ironman, You da man, my he-whore! hahaha
My race report, not much la coz I qualified 13th, finished 11th.
So let me tell you a story about kart balloting. Can I nominate someone to ballot for me next time? I was the one that balloted 24 for the race series too! I've no luck at all whatsoever. Stuff my hand in, tada! KART NUMBER 24!
I dunno to laugh or cry. So the good news was, kart 24 is not the same kart 24 as the race series. So maybe I lucky lucky long time.
Noooooooooo! No lucky lucky long time. More like suck time. Struggled with rear grip. The pick up sad. In braking, the kart dances very well and came to a point, I'm a moving hazard on track!! Ha ha!
Ok, anyways, took the opportunity to practise on driving a difficult kart since I had 30 mins. My initial worry was I've never done 30 mins on a 100cc and was afraid I would die in it.
I didn't. In fact I was surprise to see the chequered flag so early. I love dancing and wanted to dance more! But in a way, glad it's done. Didn't do the sprint race. Tak larat already and dancing for 10 laps wasn't exactly in the plans.
But it's ok, it's racing. I'm sure others got some funny karts too.
Someone please ballot for me next time. And also, I'll never buy 4D again. Thank you very much!

TheFazz | it was the best race event
it was the best race event for me in a long long while. for once, i had a good kart. i had a good feeling of it during the qualifying session. the power band was good, and so was the handling. 2nd fastest in qualifying and +0.06secs behind naza was not too shabby.
the 30 min feature race was great fun. it didn't feel too long... and i was quite pleased that this 'otai' body could still push at racing speed all throughout. my start was good but i stayed in 2nd behind naza. on reflection, i made two grave mistakes however: firstly, i didn't push early on, as i was worried that the tyre (and driver) performance would degrade too quickly... so i was thinking of pacing myself for the first 4-5 laps... but then naza was still running away at sprint pace. at that point i thought to myself... "what the heck... let's push all the way". i did so after that leading up to the mandatory pit window.
naza pitted first and i stayed out for a couple of laps longer hoping to gain a bit more ground on naza. sadly, i realised the 2nd mistake was not putting the pit-card in a place easy to retrieve and pass to the marshall.
with the gloves on, i have to unzip my suit and fish the card from the pocket of my shorts. man... i lost a lot of time fumbling. so as i exited, not only had i lost time to naza, but i had lost a position to muhaymin (as i later found out), and i was in danger of losing more positions to yusnee. but luckily enough i got out of the pits just ahead of yusnee, and pushed hard from there to gain as much ground as i lost.
i kept closing closing, but naza was still too quick and consistent. i had some bad timing when coming across backmarkers. i soon came close to muhaymin and spent a few laps behind him. i thought he was a backmarker, but later he told me that he was fighting for position. figures! i got close to him at the final corner leading onto the start finish straight. i had a good exit and raced muhaymin up to turn 1 to take 2nd from him. thereafter i chased naza, but finished 2nd. but what a fantastic experience it was!!
the 10 lap sprint race was also a good one for me. starting 2nd alongside naza, i vowed to push from word go. at the green flag i chased naza in 2nd place right up to the 2nd hairpin, when i saw a gap and dove inside of naza to take the lead. it was push push push from there as i knew that naza was a bit quicker than me. true enough he tried to take back the position later at turn 1 with a slight side by side bump. thanks to his gentlemanly conduct as he apologise for the bump i stayed ahead. he was never far behind me as i was reminded later in the race when he gave my a small nudge at the exit of the esses and into the parabolica. damn! i must keep on pushing. resisted the temptation to look behind me all throughout the race. the chequered flag soon came and i was elated! brilliant! woooo hoooo!!! retirement? not right now.
still after the end of the race i was thinking ahead to round 07. my usual kart #8 was not as competitive... so i was wondering how to keep this elated feeling up to the end of the year?
zoggee | Thank you..
Had a lot of fun,got good kart with two good mojos on the rear. Weight seems to be the disadvantage to me. Was tailing Ruben,Nizer,Rizal,Eu Jin and Edy.I noticed my weight and the way i drive was bad..can't close the gap in front. The fight in the front runners was tight. They were at it till pit window opens and didnt pit in,I rushed in and continued after that. I caught up with Amar,Daniel and Stevo.
Didn't know I'm in the lead till I caught up with Stevo again..by then I saw Ruben,Nizer,Rizal,Eu Jin and Edy tailing me. Damn.I realised I'm in the lead. I overtook Stevo and uses some hand signals to him which helps me pull further. I love you bro...( he is he-hore)I'd do the same for you too.
Weight again is an disadvantage..I heard Ruben's kart just a few meter away before the winning flag by a Red tank top Televas chicks.... What a relief,Ruben would have got the win if there's a few more laps to go.
Had to give my sprint race slot to Afiq.I'm old. Now battered and brused.
Good fun with you guys...still got a whole lot more to learn.
Congrats to all the winners and all are winners.
YOU GUYS ROCKS!
Cheers guys.

Congratulations to all.
It was a great fun and friendly event.
It was very hard work for me once the grippyness of the new tyres had gone, a problem with the chassis meant there was no turn in, when it decided to turn in it immediately wanted to swap ends. Apologies to anyone following my extremely early braking.
Knowing after a couple of laps into the feature race that it was going to be one of those long days, just had fun.
When's then next one???????!!!!????
