...nope, trying different lines is hardly a mistake!....all buayas do this and you are one of them! Sticking out tongue

shhh!!! not a "buaya" yet Sticking out tongue

although, i should hv chosen to try something new at other times than during the finals as i did during my outlap from Q2-outbraking myself into the s to see how late i could go before my kart oversteers..

the best advise i cd give myself is to be patient.. haiyaaaaaa

congrats to Nizer for winning this (again) and to eddy and yong for capitalizing on my mistakes Sticking out tongue Eu Jin, Im still within ur reach Sticking out tongue deng!

Q1
Ended up in group B after a "bad pick". my kart was lacking low end power and struggled to keep up pace with Eu Jin. No other eventful incidents. Im ok with 2nd bt not happy being 1 sec slower.

Q2
Complained to the mechanics about the poor low end performance but they said it was not tuning. So had to play with tyre pressure settings and managed to improve.

started from the back and had a good run to the green. Was chasing down Jazland and Vincent I think and overtook in some scuffle with K1 backmarkers huhu. Unfortunately, Eu Jin came to take the position and I couldnt catch up. Finished 2nd again.

Final A
The top 4 qualifiers were on different karts. Except for Eu Jin, most of us were doing 1.03s (including NiZer). I really hoped for NiZer and Eu Jin to go at it so that I would have a change to be close. The same story unfold in the first 2 laps until i made a rare mistake of trying a different line, different braking point, and different technique to take on the parabola. I ran wide going out of the exit and had eddy snooping pass me on the inside.

In the next few corners, I managed to catch up and was exactly behind him as we go onto the straights. I made another mistake of not being patient enuf by stabbing in the inside from the long straight. As eddy was turning in, I had to brake hard to avoid contact, which resulted in a half spin. This mistake was then capitalized by Yong who took 4th postion.

Im already 2 positions behind Eu Jin when I could only afford finishing behind him to maintain a slim lead for 2nd overall. ths was the main factor that had me cursing to myself for not being patient enuf.

And then eu jin started to drop back. this meant that I cd maintain my lead in the championship.. bt i needed more points to gv me a comfortable cushion.

I realized that I could get a good run onto the straight to make an overtaking maneuver on Yong. i was really all over Yong for that 3rd position and possibly a long shot at battling with eddy for 2nd. How i wish this was an ironman race!

managed to take Yong at the end of the straight bt only to relinquish it back to him for not covering my lines properly. I ended up in 4th.. (a position not so familiar Sticking out tongue) Yes, I stil have my lead for 2nd overall but it is cutting it too close for the championship series at the end of the year..

let's take a break at Perhentian! huhu!
