Nohad:
Really need to improve my qualifyings in order to secure a seat in Final A group and improve my point standings.
Had an enjoyable race day especially in the finals where I had to fend off ST early in the race, attack Chris after breaking off from ST clutches, overtook Chris at the left hairpin (on lap 4 or 5) before coming to start/finish straight (same manoeuvre I did 2 races ago on Hafiz)), race with Chris side by side along the start/finish straight after the manouevre and managed to outbrake him as I had the inside line but too late to chase Shaeran (pelumba haram). A very physically exhausting race as the kart has only about 30% braking efficiency and I have to use a lot of physical energy to handle the kart in order to break away from ST and chase Chris.
It is my second qualifying that spoilt my day a bit. Kart 12 doesn't suit my driving style at all or is it the other way round and end up last at the start. Kart 12 has a lot of understeer, no low end power and slightly weak brakes. The fuel ratio seems to be out as it sputters a bit at low end but good top-end. It is OK if you are light and have clear open road in front but not good if you are heavy (like me) and stuck behind another competitor.
Luen who had the kart earlier also commented the handling of the kart and engine performance but he was lucky the handling improved after 4 laps. But for me, the handling didn't improve at all.
Steward had the kart later came into the pits complaining the kart wouldn't turn-in.
Somehow the K2 karts conditions have deteriorate quite a bit and CK really need to improve the kart conditions such as the chain, sprockets, brakes. (Maybe I'm already a little bit spoilt after driving the 100cc karts at Sepang)

Ya lah Ed, let me savour the feeling while it last....cos the quicker ones are surely clawing back plus some help from some regulars not attending a few races and lots of luck when balloting the karts.
I agree with Patrick about CK should at least pre check the brakes, drive chains and sprocket but I doubt very much that this scenario will ever change. So the next option is to ensure that there are sufficient reserve karts; probably 30%?. So if 8 karts are running, we need to ensure 2.4 karts are on standby, ie 3 karts are needed (rounded up)...this should work.
Ed, hope you wont have to stay away too long...with or without nasi lomak...hehehe!
