how do you guys start to get involved in car racing? i've always wandered hows it like to drive a race car for real ... but never had the chance so far ...

You can start by attending the HPC events held quarterly at Sepang track...most of the instructors are my-Kart ppl anyway....get used to the handling the car on track. I think you can also rent the Proton R3 car ..it's ~RM1000 per car and it's set up for the track, and with mechanic support...for the whole day, and you can share with 3 drivers. Essentially racing line, etc, is the same concept as karting, but you have to contend with the dynamics of the car, body roll, etc...I had training with the Lotus sifu so it was goooooodz!!...but I hate rain!!....where was Muhaymin yesterday???

Anyway, suggest you take the chance to talk to our MME buayas Ramsey, Luen, Desmond "It's GOoooodz" Khoo, Ashraff, Suhazlan, if you wanna get first hand info on how to get into car racing. Don't ask me...I don't race cars (yet)...hehehhehh

well.. looking at the event.. reckon i have to wait again .. we need to use our own cars for the event. eventhough i saw a kancil in one of the images on the site.. but the one in front of it is a porsche.. reckon i have to wait till i have a car running at 180km/h within seconds..

i was inside that Kancil. HPC event is not about racing, it about driving fast in safty way disregards of whatever type of class
