It would seem that the 2 month break had allowed Tarmizi Nazaruddin to refresh and launch his bid for the 2009 K1 DRIVERS championship title with his 3rd win of 2009. He beats Ramsey Rizal into 2nd and A Muhaymin Abdullah into 3rd. His championship rival Desmond Khoo finished 4th after an epic side by side battle with Ramsey and Muhaymin.

Tarmizi now has a total gross score of 119 pts and a net score of 108 pts after dropping points from round 06 (2 pts) and round 07 (9 pts). Desmond need not drop points as he experienced two no scores in round 01 and 06 putting him at 99 pts. Ramsey's chance for the title has gone with 90 pts and also need not drop points due to no scores in round 01 and 06. Even if he wins and Tarmizi does not score, Tarmizi will still win due to dropping only the 2 pts and the final round no score.

The title challengers are as follows:

rankdrivergross ptsnet ptsdrop score1drop score2

2Desmond9999r1-0r6-0

For Desmond to win the title, he needs to win round 10 and Tarmizi not to score.
